1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy defines the rules for using STRProof. By using the Service, you agree to follow these rules. Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account.
3. You May Not
3.1 Privacy Violations
- Upload photos of people without their consent
- Photograph guests' personal belongings beyond what is necessary for property condition documentation
- Share guest personal information (name, email, phone) with third parties outside the Service
- Use the Service to surveil, monitor, or track guests or other individuals
- Place hidden cameras or recording devices and upload content from them
3.2 Fraud and Misrepresentation
- Upload photos that do not accurately represent the property condition at the stated time
- Manipulate, edit, or alter photos to misrepresent property condition
- Generate reports for properties or stays that do not exist
- Misrepresent your identity, your relationship to a property, or your authority to document it
- Use reports in bad faith to make false damage claims
3.3 Harassment and Abuse
- Use the Service to harass, threaten, or intimidate guests, cleaners, or other users
- Send excessive or unwanted communications through the Service
- Use guest contact information for purposes unrelated to property documentation
- Create stays with fictitious guest information
3.4 Technical Abuse
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
- Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the Service beyond documented APIs
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the Service's source code
- Overwhelm the Service with excessive requests (DDoS, rate limit abuse)
- Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities instead of reporting them
- Share your account credentials with unauthorized individuals
3.5 Content Restrictions
- Upload content depicting illegal activity
- Upload sexually explicit content
- Upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property
- Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Upload content that violates any applicable law
3.6 Platform Misuse
- Document properties you do not own or manage without the owner's authorization
- Use the Service for long-term rental properties in ways that violate local tenant privacy laws
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization
- Use the free plan to circumvent paid plan limits (e.g., creating multiple free accounts)
5. Reporting Security Vulnerabilities
If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it responsibly to security@strproof.com. We will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 48 hours
- Investigate and fix the issue
- Not take legal action against good-faith security researchers
