Quick Start

Create your first property, send a guest check-in link, and generate your first condition receipt in under 10 minutes.

Welcome to STRProof

STRProof gives every stay a condition receipt that both sides can trust. This guide walks you through your first one.

Step 1: Create a property

  1. Go to Properties in the sidebar and click Add Property.
  2. Enter the property name, address, and timezone.
  3. Add rooms (Living Room, Bedroom, Bathroom, Kitchen, etc.). Each room gets its own photo set for every stay.
  4. Click Create.

Step 2: Upload baseline photos

  1. Open your new property and click the Upload Photos button.
  2. Photograph each room from a consistent angle — walls, floors, furniture, and any existing wear.
  3. These become your pre-arrival baseline. The guest will see them during check-in so they know what the room looked like before they arrived.

Tip: This protects you too. Good baseline photos are the foundation of every condition receipt.

Step 3: Create a stay

  1. Go to Stays and click Create Stay.
  2. Select the property, enter the guest name and dates.
  3. If you have the guest's email, add it — STRProof will send the check-in link automatically.

Step 4: Send the check-in link

  1. Open the stay detail page.
  2. Click Send Check-In Link (or copy the link and send it yourself).
  3. The guest receives a mobile-friendly page where they review each room and confirm the condition.

The guest does not need an account. They open the link on their phone, see each room, and tap "Looks Good" or flag anything that seems different.

Step 5: Generate the PDF report

  1. After the guest completes check-in, go to Reports.
  2. Find the report for this stay and click Generate Report.
  3. Download the PDF — it includes timestamps, room-by-room photos, and the guest's acknowledgment.

This PDF is your condition receipt. Use it in platform disputes, insurance claims, or security deposit discussions.

You're done

Your first condition receipt is complete. Every future stay follows the same flow, and it gets faster each time.
