Manage Rooms
Add, rename, and reorder rooms in your property. Learn why consistent room names matter for condition reports.
Overview
Rooms are the building blocks of every condition report. Each room is photographed separately during check-in and checkout, then compared side by side in the final PDF.
Adding rooms
- Open the property page.
- Click the Rooms tab.
- Click Add Room.
- Enter the room name and click Save.
You can add rooms at any time. New rooms will appear in the next stay's check-in and checkout flow.
Renaming rooms
- Open the property page and click the Rooms tab.
- Click the room name to edit it.
- Type the new name and click Save.
The new name applies to future stays. Past reports keep the name that was active at the time of the stay.
Reordering rooms
- Open the Rooms tab.
- Drag rooms into the order you want guests to see them.
- The order is saved automatically.
Recommended order: Start with entry areas (Living Room, Kitchen), then bedrooms, then bathrooms. This follows the natural path a guest takes when arriving.
Deleting rooms
- Open the Rooms tab.
- Click the Delete button next to the room.
- Confirm the deletion.
You cannot delete a room that has photos from a completed stay. Archive it instead, which hides it from future stays but keeps the data in past reports.
Why consistent room names matter
Room names appear in:
- Condition reports — each room is a separate section with its own photos
- Baseline photos — uploaded per room
- Dispute documentation — clear names make it obvious which room is being discussed
Use specific names like "Master Bedroom" and "Guest Bedroom" instead of generic names like "Bedroom 1" and "Bedroom 2." If you have multiple units with the same layout, keep room names identical across properties so reports are easy to compare.
Tips
- Name rooms the way a guest would describe them, not how you think of them internally.
- If a room serves dual purposes (e.g. "Living/Dining Room"), name it that way.
- Avoid changing room names between stays unless necessary — it makes comparing reports harder.
